Dolphins are the largest group of cetaceans, and many people identify more easily with dolphins than with whales, especially bottlenose dolphins. Dolphins are characterized by their conical teeth, and many have a playful personality. Most dolphins also have a falcate, or curved back, dorsal fin, though some species have a triangular or rounded dorsal fin, while a few have a dorsal fin that's barely noticeable.
